One of Tamarisk’s purposes is to ensure that promising pastors and church planters who lack the financial means for coaching can receive it without financial anxiety.
Gifts to Tamarisk are used to support these leaders and to provide training for the coaches who mentor them.
Donors will receive the receipt for the donation, an annual financial report as well as regular updates on our activities.
The stewardship of funds given to Tamarisk is overseen by the Tamarisk Finance Audit Team—brothers and sisters in Christ from both Japan and abroad.
Ways to Give
Thank you for considering a donation to Tamarisk Japan!
Japan is literally the hardest soil for the gospel in the world. Despite the effort of previous generations of pastors, denominations, and mission boards, the population of Christians in Japan stays the same (1% or less). It’s mainly because they have been training those who can’t “lead”. We Tamarisk Japan handpick the church planters who already show the potential of someone who will multiply disciples and churches, and we train them in very relational and hands on approach.
Join us in transforming Japan through leadership training and church planting. For example, with a gift of a few hundred dollars, you can directly support a Japanese pastor—providing vital coaching, training, and resources to grow a vibrant, multiplying church rooted in relational discipleship, help Tamarisk organize learning cohort sessions, find new potential local leaders, and train them month by month.

How donors can support (except for financial support)
- Visit the churches and the leaders you support as a part of a vacation trip to Japan
- Personally know them and encourage them through prayer and communication
- Ask them what they need (really) and provide.
(Some might say a small fully funded short-term mission team of seasoned couples. Others might say help with a website designer from your church) - Connect and introduce other church leaders and future donors to Tamarisk.
- Bring Tamarisk leaders to your church to raise awareness for Japan mission.
